Living your life in your purpose, doing what you were designed to do, being in your SWEET spot is our ultimate goal– as long as it is something the world needs and is willing to pay for!
Otherwise, we find ourselves trying to give to the world something they can’t receive. (Think about trying to sell sand in the desert or hot chocolate in the middle of a warm and humid summer.) No demand, no customers!
Now the work here is NOT to change what you love to do– but to align it to a need in our world. Sometimes it is only a matter of better «defining» the world. Yes, it’s hard to sell sand in a desert– but selling sand in a growing city is done every day!
So how do you find your SWEET spot?
Whether you are in business for yourself or working in a company– finding your sweet spot and aligning it with the needs of the market is the fastest path to professional fulfillment and financial growth.

Answer the following questions:
-
What would you do for FREE all day long without getting tired?
-
What have you been trained to do or have experience doing? (Education + Experience)
-
Within this space of work you’ve been trained to do and the work, you would do for FREE all day long– what examples are there of needs in the world that can be solved with these skills? Name a few job positions or businesses that are currently fulfilling this need to some extent.
-
So, what would the world PAY to sooth this need? Do some research, find out who and how this need is solved and how much they are getting paid for getting the job done.
PASSION + EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE + NEED IN THE WORLD + FINANCIAL COMPENSATION =LIVING IN THE SWEET SPOT!
The next steps would be to further define both the “job” and the “audience/market”– but that is a topic for another day!
If you answer these questions and still are not exactly sure what is the work you are designed to do, then don’t hesitate to send me your questions and thoughts. I always LOVE hearing from you!
In CLARITY,

Today I was coaching a client whose business is starting to SERIOUSLY take off. Her marketing is clicking, her leveraged business model is starting to work out and everything is speeding up… just like she dreamed!
She never expected that she would freak out when she accomplished her goals and realizing her business dreams, and she is leaning back because of it. So, here’s a SKI lesson I shared with her that can be applied to her business:
- LEAN IN: Whether you are skiing and you need to lean into the mountain or downhill– or if you are facing a life challenge– leaning back will only make it worse! Leaning into it wholeheartedly will allow you to face the situation with your heart, body, and mind and achieve the desired outcome.
- BEND YOUR KNEES: I love this metaphor! For skiing, is important to bend your knees to absorb the terrain, the bumps on the hill. In business, and in life for that matter, it’s important to keep a flexible mindset to ensure that you can creatively navigate the bumps is in front of you, maintaining control at all times— but not rigidity!
- TRUST: Leaning into your ski boots– trusting that they are there– supporting your weight is another way to think about your support system: your colleagues, friends, advisors, mentors, community, even clients! Allow them to support you in your journey, your growth, your exploration.
- Go ahead, if there’s some winter left in you, test these tips on the mountain– but more importantly, test them in your life and business and see how you respond!
Send me your thoughts, insights, and AHAs… I always LOVE hearing from you! Email me!

- CHECK YOUR MINDSET: Are you spending 80% or more time thinking of the consequence of not reaching your goals or 80% of the time focusing on your desired outcome?
- DO YOU HAVE A PLAN? A clear sign that we are committed and will take the action needed to reach our goals is when we have CLARITY on our plan to action.
- CHECK YOUR EMOTIONS: Are you swinging from frustration, fear, anxiety to some hope back to fear, anxiety and frustration? If the answer is YES then you are not flowing, you are not emotionally aligned, emotionally committed to the best outcome and therefore while wishing best results – you are not EXPECTING THEM (big difference)!
