Do you, like me, have the belief that if you are having too much fun you can not call it work?
I held that belief for a long time, and to some extent, it stopped me from growing, from expanding and from showing up truly for who I was. So if you have yet to align your work with the fun side of you OR you have accomplished that BUT you are judging yourself for it, here are three tips to embrace work that feels like play:
- WATCH YOUR THOUGHTS: Carefully watch for the conversation in your head. Are you judging yourself? Are you giving yourself a hard time? Are you hearing a lot of “shoulds”? (That’s typically the easiest way to identify that judging, nagging voice in our heads). If you are, write them down, and then ask yourself; “How true is that statement?”
- BREAK THE RULES: Who said we should work this way or that way? Who said that if we are not sweating it we are not working? Dare to create the work and lifestyle you want. Follow your OWN rules.
- DESIGN YOUR SUCCESSFUL PERSONA: What if who you are, right now, as you read this article, is exactly who you need to be to reach your goals? What if you stop trying to be someone else and embrace your unique identity, your empowered self, your best version? That’s all your business and your clients need. Trust me!
I believe that each one of us brings a UNIQUE perspective to our work, and sharing this with the world actually gives people permission to do work their own way!
I am now sharing with people tips and strategies about STANDING OUT, CLARIFYING YOUR MESSAGE, SCALING YOUR BUSINESS and more. We meet in a private FREE facebook group so if you want to join the conversation, request to join now.
