What are you tolerating?

What are you tolerating

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

It’s officially 2017 and we are finishing the first week of the year. Now before we continue “as we were” let me bring up the “New Year Resolutions” theme one more time. But this time I want to ask you:

What are you tolerating?

  1. Make A List:

Go ahead, make a list of all the Habits (eating, productivity, health, sleeping, screen time, etc habits), Things (broken door knobs, annoying old toothbrush, old clothes, uncomfortable shoes, etc), Spaces (messy desk, lack of systems, messy closet, etc), People/Behaviors (whiny children, rude colleague, disrespectful client, etc) and anything else you can think of in your life that you are currently tolerating.

  2. Prioritize Your List:

What do you need to tackle first from this list? What is making the most noise? Has the biggest risk of doing harm if continued? Prioritize by order of importance of its impact in your life. Ask yourself what would my life look like if I did not to tolerate this? Paint a picture of what is possible. Be VERY focus and work on 1 or 2 things vs a long list.

  3. Take Action:

Now that you are clear on what needs to go, brainstorm ways to go about removing this “noise” from your daily life and commit to it. Feel free to do this exercise with a friend so that you can support each other.

CLARITY is key. We can’t improve what we don’t know.

I wish you a great first weekend of the year. Make 2017 YOUR year of growth!

Happy New Year!
